In this session, I will introduce my main lectures.
I gave a guest lecture on ‘Deep Plane Facelift in Asian Patients’ at the Mayo Clinic in the United States in August 2023.
Mayo Clinic, located in Rochester, Minnesota, is one of the best hospitals in the United States and the world, and is a historic center that has made significant contributions to the advancement of medicine. Mayo Clinic won the Nobel Prize for its achievements in steroid research, and is a hospital with numerous titles, including the world’s first to perform heart surgery using extracorporeal circulation, the invention of CT, and pioneering aerospace medicine
What I presented at Mayo Clinic was, about ‘Deep Plane Facelift’, the hottest face lift surgery method today, and is about the theory and technique suited to the characteristics of Asian faces.
I explained in detail the safe and efficient surgical technique along with anatomical studies of the facial nerve and muscles and received favorable reviews from attendees. At the time, I was the only Asian presenter, and I felt a great sense of responsibility as well as pride.
It was an honor to lecture and discuss the latest knowledge in facelift surgery and anatomy for Asians in front of elite doctors from all over the world at Mayo Clinic, the world’s best hospital, and I will continue to carry out research and education as I have done so far.
